Robert “Bob” Carlson is the owner of The Carlson Company, LLC dba Carlson Financial Solutions, established in 1983. He is a Registered Financial Consultant designee (RFC) and Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC℠)
Bob, a former course provider approved by the Florida Board of Accountancy, has lectured to numerous groups that include CPAs, accountants-enrolled agents, business brokers, business owners, retirees, military veterans (the current VFW Service Officer for Post 10685 in Glenville, NC) and federal employees from various branches of the federal government. He has also instructed classes at Southwestern Community College in North Carolina. Topics have included retirement and college planning, business continuation, business valuations, tax planning strategies, estate planning, living trusts, military veterans’ benefits and details of the federal retirement systems.
Bob has completed extensive training to help educate federal employees about their benefits. He has been working with federal employees for over 25 years. He is required to stay up-to-date on the ever-changing federal government benefits programs. He has extensive knowledge about FERS, CSRS, and Special Provisions (LEO, FF, ATC, CBPO). If you have questions about your TSP, FEGLI, Social Security, survivor benefits, or other aspects of your retirement benefits, he can help!
He realizes that proper planning can mean the difference between financial security and hardship. His practice concentrates on retirement, estate strategies, and insurances for retirees, small to large business owners, military veterans and federal employees.
Bob is a Vietnam-era veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Berlin, Germany from 1972 to 1975. After military service, he attended college at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and then started in the financial services industry in 1979. His father was a career Army officer who served during both WWII and the Korean War. As a child, Bob traveled extensively with his father living in Germany, Japan and several states. Bob has three children and seven grandchildren.
My name is Judi Moore and I am the administrative director for Carlson Financial Solutions. I am married with three children & four grandchildren. I am president of the VFW Auxiliary Post 10685 and enjoy helping our veterans and their families. On special occasions (Relay for Life, Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics) my alter ego, “Rainbow” the clown, shows up to make balloon animals & act silly. I have a menagerie of five dogs & one cat. I coordinate one-on-one meetings & conference calls with Bob Carlson. I also assist with retirement benefits casework (information gathering, projections, etc).
My name is Jeri Spell, Administrative Specialist for Carlson Financial Solutions. My responsibilities include direct support to Bob, administrative office duties, assisting clients and organizing workshops and seminars. I joined the company in June 2019. I’m “a ray of sunshine” from Florida. I have three daughters and three grandchildren. I enjoy dancing and watching sports, especially NFL football. Go Jags!
My name is Freda Rogers and I work for Carlson Financial Solutions as an administrator. I have been with the company since May 2008. My job includes everyday office jobs such as answering phones, applications, follow-ups with clients, companies, preparing policies for delivery, getting new and updated forms to clients, and filing. Before joining Bob’s workforce, I retired from Consolidated Metco as customer service/shipping manager after 32 years. I have two children and five grandchildren. I enjoy working here with our team at Carlson Financial; this is a great place to work!
My name is Lorelei Jones and I assist Bob with client data base management, workshop/seminar operations and management. I also assist Bob and Attorneys regarding estate planning matters. I went to the Estate Plan Institute to learn about Living Trusts, Wills, and the supporting ancillary documents.
I live in Georgia and spend my free time hiking and exercising with my two adorable rescue dogs. I also enjoy cooking and taking care of our home.
